After a lot of build up about Jesus in John chapter 1 we finally get someone encountering him in person. Jesus’ first question is “what are you looking for?” - like most of the rest of Jesus’ words in John, it’s a question that works on a physical and spiritual level. He then invites his first followers to “come and see” - which starts them on a journey that takes them the rest of their lives. We too can meet Jesus like this and go on this lifelong journey!
Also love Isaiah’s description of Jesus’ mission of justice for all the nations. It is he who will accomplish all this, we cannot be righteous ourselves without him.
