Today we’re starting to read John’s book in the Gospel track. Why not watch the Bible Project’s introduction to John.


I don’t have a good enough understanding of what was culturally normal in Corinth to get what Paul’s saying in 1 Corinthians! It sounds like not wearing a hat as a woman was like turning up to church naked in 21st century…

but his instructions about eating together are fairly clear - I think how we do tickets for Connexion is a good outworking of this passage!

The Lord’s Supper is so important to Paul — critically that it is celebrated as the whole church and such that nobody in the community is left hungry, connecting the celebration to the blood and body of Jesus given for us on the cross. Because Jesus died, we must eat and drink communally, servings each other and dying to ourselves.
