Proverbs says that the wicked walk in deep darkness - so much so that they can’t see what’s tripping them up. We need light (wisdom) from God to understand the wrong way that we default to walking in.
James holds his readers to a high standard - telling them to consider the prophets as examples of keeping going in difficult times. As we come to the end of Jeremiah, I’m very aware my life is a lot easier than his was!
