There is a bit of theme today. The Leviticus reading makes clear the consequences of sin. It’s really serious. And that idea is carried on by Eliphaz in Job. Jeremiah 7 is a call back to holiness. And John 15 reminds us that if we love Jesus, obedience to his commands is not optional. It’s a heavy weight to carry. Much too heavy for my shoulders.
But because of Christ’s death and resurrection we have hope. If we abide in him (John 15) we can know that in Him and through faith in Him we can come before God with confidence. (Eph 3).
