Love the act of a (unfortunate) goat being sent away into the wilderness to visualise the people’s sin being banished from them. Says a lot in itself and also prefigures Jesus being sent away from heaven to the wilderness of earth to remove our sin from us
Isaiah 61 is one of my favourite chapters of the Bible and is the reason I wanted to be a Vicar!
